Since our founding in 2012, Crossroads has provided trainings for hundreds of attorneys, who have gone on to represent over 1,000 young clients, and collectively contributed 45,000 pro bono hours. Our lawyers partner with another pro bono attorney, and both are mentored throughout the representation. Many more kids in our community need a legal advocate. Crossroads For Florida Kids is very thankful for the support for our trainings provided by the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation, the Hillsborough County Bar Association Trial Lawyers and Litigation Section, and the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers. To ensure our attorneys are prepared for their representations, we hold trainings that are recorded and viewable on our website. Trainings are eligible for Florida Bar CLE credits. Crossroads For Florida Kids is fortunate that its mission to provide legal representation to vulnerable children is realized in great part through the generous contributions of pro bono legal services by its attorneys. However, Crossroads still must fund the expenses over and above sponsorship contributions for trainings, as well as costs for its professional liability insurance, office supplies, clothing, hygiene products and other needs for children we represent, salaries and other expenses.
