Crossroads Welcomes Attorney Rob Keller to Our Staff

rob-keller

Crossroads For Florida Kids is excited to welcome Rob Keller, who recently joined the team as a full-time attorney. Rob will carry his own caseload while onboarding new volunteers and increasing support for our volunteer attorney teams. Our volunteer attorneys can expect to hear from Rob in the coming weeks as he introduces himself and looks for ways to help.

Rob brings broad litigation and transactional experience from both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he practiced at a national law firm, where he handled general liability defense matters involving personal injury, property damage, and business disputes, along with transactional work in intellectual property, probate, real estate development, zoning and planning, and business contracts. He represented insurance carriers, governmental and private entities, and individuals from the pre-suit stage through final resolution. An experienced trial attorney, he has served as first-chair counsel in nearly 50 jury trials.

Earlier in his career, Rob was an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s 10th and 13th Judicial Circuits, where he prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, including manslaughter. He also spent time in the 13th Judicial Circuit’s juvenile division. Over those years, he noticed patterns in how young people ended up in the system. That experience is a large part of why he wanted to focus on prevention and mentorship through Crossroads, and it will help him connect the young people referred to us with the guidance and legal representation they need to get back on track.

Rob earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In law school, he served as vice president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and competed in dispute resolution competitions across the country. He also worked as a certified legal intern with the Family Advocacy Clinic, assisting indigent clients with divorce, custody, and other family law matters.

Rob is looking forward to working alongside the attorneys who generously volunteer their time, and to building on the connections already made in the Tampa Bay legal community so Crossroads can reach more young people. We’re thrilled to have Rob on the team, and we hope you’ll give him a warm welcome.
