Get to Know Lisa Kilbride, Our New Board President

Gittings Global – NE81796

On August 1, 2025, Lisa Kilbride began her appointment as Board President for Crossroads. After twelve years as a Crossroads AAL, Ms. Kilbride joined the Board in early 2025 and was handpicked by two of the organization’s founders, Rosemary Armstrong and Sandy Weinberg, to lead Crossroads into this new chapter. Following their retirement, Rosemary and Sandy will continue to serve the organization as Founders/Directors Emeriti.

Lisa is in private practice with Zuckerman Spaeder LLP in the firm’s Tampa office, focusing on white collar criminal defense, complex civil litigation, government investigations, and e-discovery. She has long demonstrated an unwavering dedication to pro bono work, with a particular focus on expanding access to justice for underserved and at-risk communities, especially on behalf of children.

“For more than a decade, I’ve advocated for the children of Hillsborough County, and I am looking forward to building upon that work in my new role as Board President,” shared Ms. Kilbride. “I’m grateful to Rosemary, Allison, and Sandy for founding this incredible organization and for their many years of leadership and unwavering commitment to children in our community. Their mentorship and trust have shaped my work and deepened my dedication to this mission. It’s my privilege to continue the legacy they have built.”

Lisa began volunteering with Crossroads in 2013 and has since devoted more than 2,300 pro bono hours to representing children in highly complex dependency, delinquency, and criminal matters. In recognizing her work with Crossroads, Ms. Kilbride was honored with the Florida Bar President’s 2025 Pro Bono Service award and the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit’s “Outstanding Pro Bono Service by a Lawyer” award in 2017.

Ms. Kilbride is looking forward to taking an active role as President in Crossroads’ involvement in the community, including participating in activities with the organization’s committees in outreach events with local bar associations, civic functions and fundraising drives, including spearheading our Giving Tuesday campaign on December 2, 2025.

Lisa lives in Lutz and has two children in college. In her free time, she loves traveling to beachfront locales, walking a weekend farmer’s market, cooking and baking new recipes, watching crime documentaries and reading.
