Connecting with Future Advocates at Stetson Law’s Career Fair

Crossroads was proud to participate in Stetson University College of Law’s 2026 Career Fair, joining public and private organizations in meeting law students exploring their next steps in the profession. Stetson is committed to pro bono work, requiring every law student to participate, and students who complete at least 120 hours may receive the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award at graduation, as our Executive Director did. This shared foundation created a natural connection to our mission and opened the door to meaningful conversations about how pro bono work can shape a purposeful and community‑centered legal career.
For Crossroads, the fair was an opportunity to inspire future lawyers to consider how pro bono work can remain a priority long after graduation — not just because it’s part of the oath, but because it’s one of the most meaningful ways to use their training to help others. Many students were excited to learn about our law student volunteer program, where they are paired with a mentor attorney and join an active case team. Students observe client rapport, attend hearings and staffings, conduct research when needed, and play a real part in improving a young person’s life. The enthusiasm and curiosity we saw throughout the day reaffirmed that the next generation of lawyers is eager to serve, and we look forward to welcoming many of them into the Crossroads community.
